Our range of therapies
We combine various medical disciplines to not only treat symptoms, but to understand them in a targeted way. This results in a therapy that is tailored to your personal situation and specifically addresses the points where symptoms arise or keep recurring.
Functional Medicine
We specialize in Functional Medicine: In Functional Medicine, we do not view symptoms in isolation, but in relation to possible triggers, stressors, and functional interrelationships within the body. Especially in more complex or recurring conditions, there is often no standard solution — therefore, we draw on a broad range of experience and various therapeutic approaches, which we combine individually.
Osteopathy
Osteopathy is particularly helpful when symptoms keep recurring or cannot be clearly attributed to a single cause.
It takes a holistic view of the body and helps to identify functional relationships and incorporate them into treatment.
Physiotherapy
Physiotherapy specifically focuses on areas where mobility, stability, and resilience need to be restored.
It is especially important when pain interferes with daily life, movements have become unsteady, or function needs to be improved again after injuries, overuse, or prolonged conditions.
Chiropractic
Chiropractic care can be particularly useful when blockages, joint problems, or restrictions in movement are the main issues.
It is used in a targeted way when symptoms need to be treated precisely and the natural mobility of the spine and joints needs to be improved.
Pain therapy
Pain therapy is primarily aimed at people with persistent, recurring, or particularly burdensome symptoms.
The focus here is not only on relieving pain, but also on categorizing it in a targeted way and better understanding why it persists or keeps recurring.
Infusion therapy is an independent component of our treatment concept and can be used in a targeted way when the body needs additional support, when regeneration is to be promoted, or when an increased need for certain nutrients should be appropriately balanced.
Selected nutrients, minerals, and fluids are administered intravenously in individually tailored combinations.
COMPLEMENTARY MEDICINE
Complementary medicine extends the treatment concept where conditions require holistic care and the body needs additional support.
This includes approaches that are used in a regulatory, supportive, and complementary way alongside the main treatment areas—individually tailored to your specific condition.
Indications
In our practice, we are available for you, among other things, for the following conditions:
Acute back pain
Acute back pain can suddenly severely restrict daily life. In such cases, targeted manual treatment to release blockages, as well as heat or electrotherapy, have often proven effective in relieving tense structures and quickly calming pain; at the same time, we also look at possible triggers such as incorrect loading, posture, or overuse in everyday life.
Sciatic pain
Sciatic pain often presents as pulling or burning sensations extending into the leg. In such cases, relieving manual techniques in the area of the lumbar spine and pelvis often help, as well as—depending on the level of irritation—targeted injections to calm nerve irritation; at the same time, we examine where the pressure or irritation originally comes from.
Golfer’s or tennis elbow
When gripping, lifting, or repetitive movements become painful, the tissue requires targeted relief. In such cases, a deep treatment of the irritated muscle and tendon attachments is often particularly helpful, as well as acupuncture or electrotherapy to support pain reduction; in addition, we take into account strain from work, sports, or everyday life to help prevent the irritation from recurring.
Calcific shoulder
In calcific shoulder, pain and restricted mobility are often the main issues. Gentle mobilization of the shoulder has often proven effective, along with pain-relieving injections or acupuncture to reduce pain and make movement easier again; at the same time, we pay attention to protective postures and unfavorable movement patterns that can exacerbate the symptoms.
Tinnitus
Tinnitus can also be related to tension in the jaw, neck, or cervical spine. For this reason, we often focus on targeted manual treatment of these areas, as well as acupuncture as a complementary measure, and also consider possible physical or stress-related contributing factors.
Hip pain
Hip pain often does not originate in the hip itself, but can also result from improper loading in interaction with the pelvis and back. Targeted mobilization of the hip and pelvis is often particularly helpful, as well as physiotherapeutic exercises to improve mobility and resilience; at the same time, we look at which movement or loading patterns may be contributing to the symptoms.
Headaches / migraine
Headaches and migraines can be aggravated by tension in the neck, jaw, or cervical spine. Manual treatment of these areas, as well as acupuncture to regulate tension and relieve symptoms, have often proven effective; in addition, we take into account possible triggers such as stress, posture, or recurring strain patterns.
Tendon inflammation
Tendon inflammation is often persistent because irritated structures are repeatedly stressed in everyday life. For this reason, we often work with targeted physiotherapeutic relief and electrotherapy, complemented by a detailed analysis of the triggering movements, so that not only the inflammation is calmed, but also the cause of the overload is identified.
Jaw pain
Jaw pain is often associated with clenching, tension, or issues in the neck. Manual treatment of the jaw and neck area is often particularly useful, as well as acupuncture as a complementary support for tension and pain; at the same time, we take possible triggers such as stress, improper loading, or nighttime clenching into account in the treatment.

Osteopathy
One of the pillars of Dr. phil. Jörgen Bådstangen’s practice is osteopathic manual medicine. The application of osteopathic medicine requires in-depth knowledge of anatomy, physiology, neurology, pathology, and biomechanics. This is based on extensive academic training, which is completed with a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree, followed by further specialization. Within osteopathy, the human being is viewed as a whole. It does not focus on treating individual symptoms, but rather aims to get to the root cause and identify the underlying reasons for complaints. Treatment is then based on these findings. From an osteopathic perspective, diseases are usually preceded by functional disorders. If these are not corrected in time, structural damage to the body may develop and illness can occur. The osteopath resolves these functional disorders and treats in a preventive way. Since this can help prevent the onset of disease, the method is also regarded as a form of preventive medicine. At the same time, existing conditions can also be treated.
Treatment is performed exclusively with the hands! An osteopath uses only finely trained hands to detect and treat the causes of complaints.
The applications of osteopathy are extremely diverse. Here are some examples:
Musculoskeletal system (parietal osteopathy):
Disorders of the musculoskeletal system such as blocked joints, muscles and tendons, joint problems, complaints such as lumbago, sciatica, whiplash, and sprains.
Internal medicine (visceral osteopathy):
Respiratory problems, digestive disorders (not in cases of ulcers and tumors), heartburn, organ prolapse, post-surgical conditions such as scars and adhesions, and functional cardiac complaints.
Ear, nose and throat region (craniosacral osteopathy):
Chronic headaches, migraines, sinus infections, chronic middle ear infections, tonsillitis, dizziness, tinnitus, temporomandibular joint problems (supportive), bite regulation (supportive).
Urogenital system (visceral osteopathy):
Menstrual disorders, pregnancy, preparation for and after childbirth, menopausal symptoms, infertility, incontinence.
Pediatrics (parietal, visceral, and craniosacral osteopathy):
Birth-related skull and facial deformities, torticollis (KISS syndrome), scoliosis, hip dysplasia, reflux in infants, developmental delays, learning and concentration disorders, hyperactivity, disabilities (supportive), and tinnitus.
The duration and number of treatments depend on your diagnosis and symptoms. Whenever necessary, we cooperate with your treating physicians.
Details about the treatment
The content of physiotherapy includes the identification and treatment of dysfunctions of the musculoskeletal system, with the aim of maintaining or restoring normal function in the joints and all functionally and structurally connected tissues. During the assessment, movement quality, range of motion, end feel, and the functional status of the muscles are evaluated, and each individual muscle is palpated (examined by touch).
Manual therapy
Manual therapy places particular emphasis on the pain history. During treatment, pain is relieved through traction of the joint, physiological movements (mobilisation), and rapid vibration (oscillation), while also improving mobility and enhancing the nutrition and supply of joint structures.
Manual lymphatic drainage
Physiotherapy exercises
Our physiotherapy based on neurophysiological principles according to Bobath and Vojta is suitable for both adults and children.
Sports physiotherapy
Passive physical applications
Induction therapy
Pain is one of the fastest-growing health problems worldwide. Studies suggest that around 20% of adults experience pain. In our treatments, we also use the latest and most advanced induction therapy devices from Zimmer MedizinSysteme. The emFieldPro generates a magnetic field with a strength of 3 Tesla, which is about 600 times stronger than a conventional magnetic rod. This powerful magnetic field stimulates nerve cells, muscles, and blood vessels. Through the application of this energy, physiological changes and/or stimulation occur, which can produce therapeutic effects.
The duration and number of treatments depend on your diagnosis and symptoms. Whenever necessary, we cooperate with your treating physicians.

Chiropractic
Chiropractic care is an alternative medical therapy that focuses on the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disorders of the musculoskeletal system, particularly the spine. Chiropractors often use manual techniques to relieve pain, improve mobility, and promote overall health.
The foundation of chiropractic care is the belief that proper alignment of the spine and other joints supports the body’s ability to heal itself. It is important to note that chiropractic is a form of healthcare practice.

Integrative pain and neural therapy
Integrative pain and neural therapy sees itself as a link between naturopathy and conventional medicine. Neural therapy is not only one of the best-known naturopathic treatment methods, but under the term TLA (therapeutic local anaesthesia) it is also part of conventional medicine in orthopaedics and pain therapy.
In this approach, procaine is injected directly into the pain point. This—very short-lasting—local anaesthesia can often interrupt the cycle of pain and thereby help eliminate the underlying cause of the pain, while activating the body’s natural self-healing processes.
Neural therapy works in a similarly holistic way to Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM).
Procaine has, among others, the following effects:
• pain-relieving
• muscle-relaxing
• anti-inflammatory
• circulation-enhancing
• autonomic balancing and healing
Neural therapy is considered one of the most effective and at the same time best-tolerated methods of pain treatment.
There are numerous indications for choosing treatment with integrative pain and neural therapy. Examples include:
Head and neck:
All types of head and facial pain, e.g. migraine, tension headaches, trigeminal neuralgia, tinnitus, sudden hearing loss, neck pain, cervical spine syndrome (C-spine syndrome).
Shoulder, arms, hands:
Shoulder pain (arthrosis, calcific shoulder), rotator cuff syndrome, elbow pain, tendonitis, carpal tunnel syndrome, wrist pain, polyarthrosis of the finger joints.
Back and trunk:
Pain in the thoracic and/or lumbar spine, e.g. herniated disc, spondylolisthesis, spinal stenosis; pain in the sacrum and coccyx.
Hips, legs, feet:
Hip pain, e.g. due to arthrosis; groin pain; sciatic pain; knee pain, e.g. due to arthrosis, meniscus issues or muscle cramps; Achilles tendon and/or ankle pain, e.g. arthrosis, heel spur, toe pain.
Injuries, strains, post-operative conditions:
Can have a decongestant effect and may also promote bone and wound healing. The treatment is also suitable for scar pain and pain after knee and hip surgery.
Systemic conditions:
For example fibromyalgia, ankylosing spondylitis (Bechterew’s disease), polyneuropathy, and others.
General:
Sleep disorders, depression, anxiety and panic states.
The duration and number of treatments depend on your diagnosis and symptoms. Whenever necessary, we cooperate with your treating physicians.

Complementary medicine
Our additional treatment methods include:
Acupuncture
Acupuncture complements other treatments when pain, tension, or recurring complaints require regulatory support. Many patients find it a valuable additional component, especially in more complex conditions.
Naturopathy
Naturopathy complements our treatment approach where conditions should be managed in a holistic and as gentle as possible way. It can be particularly useful when the aim is not only to relieve symptoms, but also to support the body’s own regulatory and healing processes.
Induction therapy
Induction therapy is a modern complementary treatment method that we use specifically for pain, muscular tension, and functional disorders. It can help relieve tissue, reduce pain, and support regenerative processes.
